Dear Parents: 

I’m so excited to find myself at the helm of one of the many great schools in Fayette County, Flat Rock Middle School.  This is my tenth year as principal, and I always look forward to all of the new possibilities that each new school year holds.  Once again, FRMS has made adequate yearly progress for an ninth straight year.  This daunting task was made possible by the hard work of our students, teachers and parents.  We have so much pride in our student body, and I hope that each member of the community shares in our level of pride. 

I anticipate that the 2012-2013 school year will be another outstanding year for FRMS.  Building to the positive momentum from our continued academic success, I’m very confident that FRMS will rank among the top middle schools in the state once again.  Our athletic and fine arts programs have continued to perform at levels that other middle schools could only hope for in county and regional competitions.  I’m confident that FRMS will continue to accomplish greatness this school year.   

I encourage each parent to play an active role in their child’s education.  Join as many organizations as possible that support our school.  The PTO and our many boosters need your support in meeting our many educational and extracurricular goals.  Also, make sure to monitor your child’s progress and assignments regularly by monitoring Infinite Campus.  We are here to work together with our students and parents in making FRMS the best middle school in Fayette County.
